In Florida, very few buildings have basements. Both residential and commercial structures are built on a concrete floor. Before the concrete is poured, "conduit" (plastic or metal pipe) may be laid in the ground. L&C Electrical Services, Inc. is skilled in blueprint reading to accurately measure where the conduits are placed under the building.
In a house, we may have to run one piece of conduit to provide access for the power to an island in the kitchen. In a commercial building, multiple runs of conduit may be laid to later provide power for receptacles, sub-panels and equipment.

For large jobs, we usually start our work by reading blueprints. Blueprints are technical diagrams that show the locations of circuits, outlets, load centers, panel boards, and other equipment. To ensure public safety, we follow the National Electrical Code, and State and local building codes.
We connect all types of wires to circuit breakers, transformers, outlets, or other components and join the wires in boxes with various specially designed connectors. When installing wiring, we use hand tools such as conduit benders, screwdrivers, pliers, knives, hacksaws, and wire strippers, as well as power tools such as drills and saws. Later, we may use ammeters, ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other equipment to test connections and ensure the compatibility and safety of components.

When we install wiring systems in factories and commercial settings, we first place conduit (pipe or tubing) inside partitions, walls, or other concealed areas as designated by the blueprints. We fasten small metal or plastic boxes to the walls that will house electrical switches and outlets. We pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between these boxes. The diameter and number of wires installed depends on how much power will need to run through it. The greater the diameter of the wire, the more electricity it can handle. In residential construction, L&C Electrical Services, Inc. usually installs insulated wire encased in plastic, which does not need to run through conduits.
We have line installers and repairers on staff who specialize in this work install low-voltage wiring systems in addition to electrical systems. Low-voltage wiring accommodates voice, data, and video equipment, such as telephones, computers, intercoms, and fire alarm and security systems. We also install coaxial or fiber optic cable for telecommunications equipment and electronic controls for industrial uses.
We. repair or replace electric and electronic equipment when it breaks. We make needed repairs as quickly as possible in order to minimize inconvenience. We replace items such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches, electrical and electronic components, or wire according to what the job calls. Maintenance work varies greatly; thus we perform a wide variety of electrical work for homeowners, commercial businesses, and industrial sites. We can rewire and replace an old fuse box with a new circuit breaker box to accommodate additional appliances, or we can install new lighting and other electric items, such as ceiling fans.
